Got My Copy of the Ultima Ultimate Collector’s Guide 2012 – Did You?

I was planning on getting this anyways, but last week Amazon put it on sale for $39.20 and I couldn’t resist getting it immediately.

So just what is the Ultima Ultimate Collector’s Guide 2012 edition?

It’s a huge book written by Stephen Emond that covers:
* 520 main releases
* 286 books and collectibles
* Nearly 150 miscellaneous items
* A total of nearly one thousand items from 24 countries across 6 continents.
* Differences between releases of the same games, maps, etc.
* History and lore of the world of Ultima.

Community Spotlight: Guardsmen Militia of Yew (Europa)

I’m going to try and make more time to highlight a few player-run groups a week. This week, it’s the Guardsmen Militia of Yew at Stonekeep (Europa).

As their flyers say, they are mostly looking for those who are new to Ultima Online or Europa, but are more than happy to take on those who have been around.

Starting this Thursday (June 16) and every Thursday thereafter, they are invite all new and old players to:

..come along to an evening patrol, hunt, or expedition to Dungeons and different places of Britannia, tokuno, Ilshenar, or Malas.

Our aim is to get everyone to interact with each other, train, teamwork, train your personal skills, and earn some money, but overall, have lots of fun.

The Guardsmen Militia will have veterans leading the event, which will grant you someone with experience to ask if there’s something you don’t understand.

Lake Superior 2011 Rares Fest Ends, Bag Winners Announced

The Lake Superior 2011 Rares Fest has officially closed, although vendors will be around for a few days.

The Petal from the Golden Lotus of Heaven contest winners were officially announced.

Lake Superior 2011 Rares Festival – Auction House

Yesterday I mentioned the list of events currently happening during the Lake Superior Rares Festival, and one of the ongoing events is the auction house. There are auctions taking place as we speak, including buy-outs, and even if you are not planning on bidding on anything, this is a great chance for people to check out rares in person that they might not have seen before now, and might not see again.

It’s not hard to miss – it’s the largest/tallest building that’s a part of the festival:

Even if you’re not interested in any of the rares, it’s a very unique experience – very busy, and you’ll run into a lot of people, more than what you normally see at the banks.

The easiest way to get there is still to head towards the Luna bank (inside) in Malas and then take the convenient Moongate that is located at the main entrance to the bank. It has appeared near the main Luna Moongate, but seems to be staying at the entrance to the bank. It’s one of a couple of ways of getting there and will probably be the most convenient for many.
