That Petal from the Golden Lotus of Heaven contest that is currently going on during the Lake Superior Rares Festival?
There have been some outstanding entries. A few were messed up due to server issues, but hopefully they will be corrected tomorrow (UPDATE: Check Part 2 link for bags that were messed up). There is still time, check the details at the link above.
Here are the early entries:
Apologies for the delay, I recorded about 45 minutes of game footage in HD, when the race itself was only about 6 minutes or so.
It’s finished rendering in HD – on the time area of the bottom of the video, select 720p or 480p instead of the default 240p or 360p
It’s fuzzy in some areas – that YouTube’s rendering. If it doesn’t clear up later (YouTube renders the video in the background), I’ll upload a better version tomorrow (Saturday).
While there is already an event in progress, the official opening of the Lake Superior 2011 Rares Fest is in just a few hours – 10am Central, 11am Eastern, 8am Pacific. Vendors have already been placed and auctions have already taken place with items being sold.
If you need help getting there, the direct Moongate that takes you directly to the Rares Fest is once again in the courtyard area outside of the Luna bank in Malas (more directions).
I’ll be covering the opening ceremony as well as this evening’s relay race, but it’s something you ought to check out yourself. It’s been very active with many players showing up. Mesanna even showed up last night.
Yesterday I mentioned the list of events currently happening during the Lake Superior Rares Festival, and one of the ongoing events is the auction house. There are auctions taking place as we speak, including buy-outs, and even if you are not planning on bidding on anything, this is a great chance for people to check out rares in person that they might not have seen before now, and might not see again.
It’s not hard to miss – it’s the largest/tallest building that’s a part of the festival:
Even if you’re not interested in any of the rares, it’s a very unique experience – very busy, and you’ll run into a lot of people, more than what you normally see at the banks.
The easiest way to get there is still to head towards the Luna bank (inside) in Malas and then take the convenient Moongate that is located at the main entrance to the bank. It has appeared near the main Luna Moongate, but seems to be staying at the entrance to the bank. It’s one of a couple of ways of getting there and will probably be the most convenient for many.
So yesterday I posted some information about getting to the Lake Superior 2011 Rares Fest – houses are set up already, but let’s talk about the calendar of events.
